9. William the Conqueror
William the Conqueror, or William I, was one of the best leaders of England. He was conceived around 1028 in Normandy, France. William I was delegated Duke of Normandy in 1035, when he was only seven years of age.
In addition to the fact that he conquered England, he made it the most incredible government in Europe. William I advanced the English dialect. Despite the fact that he never communicated in English and was unskilled, he fundamentally affected the development of the English dialect.
He included many French and Latin words to the English lexicon. William ruled England until his demise on ninth September, 1087, in Rouen, France.
