1. Alfred Nobel
Alfred Nobel was a Swedish chemist, engineer, entrepreneur and inventor with 354 patents to his name. He was born on 21st October, 1833, in Stockholm, Sweden. As a young man, he worked at his father’s arms factory. While studying in Paris, he met Sobero, an Italian chemist, who invented nitro-glycerine, a highly explosive liquid. Nobel was interested in the use of nitro-glycerine for construction. While experimenting in 1866.
